DIGGING GROUNDS/KAPUT
The Exhibition and Publication Launch of the
Honours Programme
ART and RESEARCH
This event displayed the final results of a fourteen-month interdisciplinary collaboration involving seventeen students from the University of Amsterdam and Gerrit Rietveld Academie.
The participants submerged themselves in various discourses, starting from a collective conceptual map that overtime crystalized into subjects such as inactivity, everyday insanity, realness and communication/play.
These subjects were further investigated by four subgroups of four to five students. Digging Grounds/ Kaput is the result of what these subgroups have experienced at the intersections between art and academic research.
The exhibition was a collaboration with Exhibition Centre Looiersgracht 60.
Creating opportunities for young artists and recent graduates to exhibit their work is one of Looiersgracht 60’s core concerns, so they are pleased to host the final exhibition of the present edition of Honours Programme ART and RESEARCH.
