Reality was overrated

Using symbols on a map is supposed to indicate the aspect of a surface, with the obvious agreement of representation being a tool used to grasp real surroundings. When we observe absurd shifts in this system, and symbols tend to overtake and substitute reality itself, could we then identify these phenomena at work? We can attempt to chart this representation, which could help us understand how all referentials are presently effaced and navigate us through the obvious desertification of reality.
How to mobilize the imaginings of alternative histories?
Alternative histories are histories of people who come together for a reason, a common interest.
